Considerações sobre o “milagre econômico” brasileiro na imprensa douradense (1970-1973)

Na década de 1970, período em que o Brasil era governado pelos militares, ocorreu um considerável crescimento da economia brasileira, proporcionando ao país o desenvolvimento do setor industrial e a ampliação de sua infra-estrutura. No governo do General Emílio Garrastazu Médici (1969-1974), o Brasil se tornou um mercado atrativo, de modo que capitais prosperaram tanto na forma de empréstimos quanto de investimentos diretos. A imprensa, no auge do denominado “milagre econômico”, divulgou de forma positiva os projetos criados e mantidos pelo Governo, já que sob o efeito da censura, as reportagens políticas eram escritas de forma superficial e amena. Em particular, a região Centro-Oeste também sentiu os efeitos desse crescimento econômico, sobretudo, com a construção de indústrias, a viabilização de investimentos em infra-estrutura e no setor agropecuário. Diante disso, este trabalho objetiva refletir como a imprensa Douradense, em especial, por meio do jornal Folha de Dourados (1970-1973), representou em suas páginas as ações do Estado, dentro do chamado “milagre econômico”.Downloads
