Women on the pages of newspapers in Itabuna – Ba 1986-1992

The paper discussed how the commemorative issues of Women's Day and Mother's Day, published in the Jornal Agora and Diário de Itabuna, were used to publicize and reaffirm the norms of women's bodies in Itabuna in 1986-1992. Simultaneously, it identified how the local press, attentive to some demands of the feminisms in the country, tried to contest some of its flags and appropriated some others.
