Abstract

Despite the openning historiografical field to new themes and new aproachs, the history of women is still a challenge and appears as a field marked by silences and gaps. In this sense, we can understand oral history as a strategy to access a memory of silenced and neglected historical agents. This article aims to retrieve elements related to the important social movements that taken place in Brazil since the 1960s, using the reports of militancy of Ana Maria Gomes, a sociologist, professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, member of the denominated Group of Osasco and movements of resistance to the military dictatorship and recognized by her expressive action in the movement of women.

Socióloga, professora assistente da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul/Campus do Pantanal (Corumbá/MS/Brasil), doutoranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade da Grande Dourados (Dourados/MS/Brasil), pesquisadora do Grupo de Estudos em Gênero, História e Interculturalidade-UFGD e do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (NEG/UFMS).
