Uniedas: o cotidiano de uma igreja protestante entre os índios Terena

Neste artigo abordaremos particularmente o histórico e as atividades cotidianas que ocorrem na igreja Uniedas presente na aldeia Bananal, Posto Indígena Taunay/Ipegue, município de Aquidauana, bem como as influências que acarretam na vida de seus adeptos. A partir dessa temática, pretendemos mostrar a forma como é vivenciada a religião protestante entre os Terena, tendo em vista que essa convivência pode nos fornecer pistas relevantes sobre a manutenção da identidade étnica e a reconstrução constante da visão de mundo própria desse povo indígena. Um dos elementos que nos indica esse processo é a recorrência, inclusive de adeptos da crença protestante, aos xamãs apontando-nos não só a sobrevivência do xamanismo, mas também as suas atualizações que se dão em paralelo à crença protestante.Downloads
