O presente artigo visa realizar uma discussão acerca da ascensão conservadora nos EUA, entre fins da década de 1970 e início dos anos 1980, que culmina na Era Reagan. Desse modo pretende-se discutir sobre os desdobramentos de tais perspectivas na política externa do governo de Ronald Reagan, nos EUA (1981–1989), buscando assim, um enfoque nas perspectivas militaristas e intervencionistas que pautam a doutrina Reagan e no acirramento das disputas com a URSS. Além disso, procuramos enfatizar as contradições de sua postura e seu posicionamento político com a prática política no âmbito doméstico e das Relações Internacionais.Downloads
