O Golpe de 1937 levou Agamenon Magalhães à interventoria do estado de Pernambuco. A política cultural empregada por Agamenon permitiu que a modernidade consagrasse seus moldes autoritários. Nosso objetivo é analisar a relação entre as práticas cotidianas e a importância dada à visão do outro na sociedade recifense estadonovista, a partir das representações simbólicas contidas em propagandas privadas e eventos sociais do período. Para tal intento, utilizamos as considerações de Leon Rozitchner sobre o pensamento de Sigmund Freud, onde a psicologia é concebida como uma ciência histórica; e os estudos de Pierre Bourdieu acerca das “trocas simbólicas” no seio social.Downloads
