Abstract

Tendo como referência os estudos dedicados à História das Doenças, este texto se propõe a analisar as práticas e representações socioculturais engendradas pelo jornal O Araripe (Crato-CE) para se relacionar com a epidemia do cólera, que desde 1855 ameaçava invadir a cidade, o que ocorreu de fato em 1855 e 1862.
