No afrouxar dos espartilhos: uma análise interdisciplinar acerca da formação da identidade ocidental feminina durante Primeira Guerra Mundial sob a ótica da indumentária

O objetivo do presente artigo é compreender as mudanças no papel social da mulher ocidental ao longo da Primeira Guerra Mundial a partir do contexto norte-americano e inglês. Para analisar as transformações do comportamento social feminino, utilizamos como fonte imagens da indumentária da época, entendendo que o vestuário é uma importante expressão comunicativa. Como tal, a roupa é ainda uma linguagem que referencia eficazmente mutações sociais e sinaliza identidades pessoais e comunitárias. Ao final, definimos o conceito de prêt-à-changer próprio para caracterizar essa mudança de paradigma no habitus da mulher no início do século XX.Downloads
