Fishing women: trajectories of women in the pantanals sul-mato-grossense

Historical analysis of everyday life, memories and silences in the lives of fisherwomen in the Pantanal Sul Mato Grossense region. The research discusses storylines and the multiple senses and meanings that the riversidelife has for these women, highlighting their expectations and desires in the relationship woven with the river and with Mato Grosso do Sul city, as well as in the construction of natural ways of life expressed in their daily experiences. They present tensions, emotions and senses that these women have built along their trajectories in the world of fishing. A world permeated with uncertainty and conquests for these women, since, until then, this space was destined to explorers. In this sense, oral narratives have enriched us historically, by showing life stories of women who were doomed to the private world in the shadow of their spouses, but that now dominate spaces with their works, their struggles and their desires.Downloads
