A religiosidade na dança: entre o sagrado e o profano

O artigo apresenta um breve histórico da presença da Dança no contexto do sagrado nas antigas civilizações até seu banimento da liturgia oficial da Igreja Católica. Enfoca a tradição dançante mantida nos guetos e a preservação, pela cultura popular, de algumas festas para Santos da Igreja Católica, que chegam ao Brasil vinculadas à questão da tradição herdada do processo de formação da sociedade brasileira, com suas variadas influências e contribuições, como as Festas Juninas, para São Pedro, Santo Antônio e São João, sempre com música e dança e a Festa-Dança de São Gonçalo, que acontece e se perpetua no espaço social e geográfico mineiro, como vivência religiosa-profana.Downloads
