Missões jesuíticas coloniais: um estudo dos planos urbanos

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho está centrado no estudo sobre os planos urbanos das reduções Guarani, Chiquitos e Mojos, apontando semelhanças e diferenças, bem como o contexto em que se configuraram. Para tal, tomaremos por base os resultados das pesquisas realizadas nas missões Guarani sobre urbanidade, espaço e arqueologia, justamente por serem estudos mais diversificados em relação à temática das missões. Como ponto de partida, utilizaremos as plantas dos pueblos de São João Batista (no contexto dos sete povos das missões no Rio Grande do Sul), San José de Chiquitos e Concepción de Moxos (ambas em território Boliviano). Relacionaremos estas imagens com produções bibliográficas sobre as reduções jesuíticas bolivianas, conhecidas até o presente momento, tendo em vista que este ainda é um assunto pouco conhecido, principalmente, devido à dispersão das fontes sobre as mesmas.
