Abstract

O objetivo desse texto é de responder a pergunta instigante da professora Ana Fani Alessandri Carlos: “Qual é a geografia que se faz na França sobre o Brasil?”. Nela está embutida a pergunta: qual é a geografia que se faz na França? Como está evoluindo os estudos geográficos na França, já que os dois países têm uma historia em comum? Nesse caso teria que esclarecer dois lados interligados: a estrutura institucional, quer dizer, a organização dos estudos geográficos (graduação, mas sobre tudo pós-graduação), e o lado científico, isto é, a produção do saber e a prática geográfica.
