Abstract

O presente artigo tem por ­ finalidade o estudo das Representações Sociais (MOSCOVICI, 2007) e suas interações na área do turismo, sobretudo do turismo industrial. O estudo de caso busca evidenciar a organização da imagem de representação do município de Araucária / Paraná e sua possível utilização como aporte para a validação da criação e desenvolvimento do turismo industrial no município. Para tanto, foi organizada uma metodologia que prevê a inserção de dados qualitativos e quantitativos na elaboração de núcleos ­ figurativos nos quais os universos consensuais dos entrevistados se con­figuram em expressões da realidade. Tal realidade expressa, por sua vez, a quali­ cação do espaço araucariense como substrato para a inserção da atividade do turismo industrial.
