Time and space are the concepts analyzed by Stephen Kern in the important book "The Culture of Time and Space: 1880-1918", which was translated into Portuguese and published in Brazil in 2023. Published over 40 years ago, the work is a reference for the analysis of the two fundamental concepts for studies in the areas of human and social sciences, arts, philosophy, physics, etc., and arrives to stimulate new research and understandings about the temporal and spatial dimensions of social life. The book addresses the great social, economic, political and technological transformations at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, in the context of the Second Industrial Revolution, and the implications in the scope of conceptual formulations about time and space.
