The intercopping of tropical forages, especially corn and legumes, has been an advantageous option for the production of dry matter and bromatological quality of the silage, in addition to recovering degraded pastures. The objective of the study was to evaluate, in a Oxisol, for two consecutive years, the agronomic characteristics of corn, legume production and dry matter at the beginning and end of the silage of the pigeon pea/palissade grass-Marandu intercropping (absence/ presence) in no-tillage. The design used was randomized blocks in a 5 x 2 factorial scheme with four replications, with corn intercropped or not with grass and five sowing densities of the legume (0, 6, 12, 18 and 24 seeds m-1). The intercropping of corn with legume provides higher crude protein contents in the silage, with better values between 5 and 18 seeds per meter at sowing. The use of palisade grass in the intercropping does not change the silage production.
