Influence of chemical fertilizers and pig waste on soil fauna

Abstract

This study was conducted with the objective of evaluating the effect of different forms of fertilization using the method of analysis, the use of waste liquid swine (WLS), organo-mineral fertilization and mineral fertilization on the abundance and diversity of soil fauna. The experimental design was used in randomized blocks, with a factorial of 6x6 (treatment x replication). The treatments studied were: Control, without fertilization; Mineral fertilization, organo-mineral fertilization, organic fertilization at doses of 50 m3 ha-1, 100 m3 ha-1 and 200 m3 ha-1 of DLS. An edaphic fauna was evaluated using a cylindrical sampler with a diameter of 17 cm, at depth of 0-5 cm, with funnel extraction from Berlins. The diversity of the fauna in the different treatments was evaluated by means of the Shannon diversity indexes, Simpson dominance and Pielou uniformity. The abundance and distribution of the fauna were analyzed through cluster analysis and main components. The abundance and diversity of the edaphic fauna were influenced by the different doses of manure and mineral fertilization. The highest diversity was found in the treatment organo-mineral fertilization and the lowest without treatment organic fertilization 200 m3 ha-1. A component analysis refers to a separation of treatments, demonstrating which groups are most associated with each treatment at each times of sampling.
