Levantamento de aleirodídeos em Campo Grande (MS) e região

As moscas-brancas se alimentam de plantas cultivadas ornamentais e invasoras, causando danos diretos durante a alimentação além de transmitirem doenças. No entanto, pouco se sabe sobre as espécies, nativas ou introduzidas, e suas respectivas plantas hospedeiras. Objetivou-se assim identificar as espécies de moscas-brancas, em plantas hospedeiras no Mato Grosso do Sul. As folhas de plantas com sintomas da presença dos insetos foram coletadas juntamente com o caule e trazidos para o laboratório em sacos plásticos para reconhecimento de espécies. Foram identificadas dez espécies de mosca-branca em 17 plantas hospedeiras, além das sete amostras identificadas somente até gênero, no período de um ano.
