SPECIAL ISSUE - CALL FOR PAPERS "HUMAN RIGHTS & INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS"

The “Human Rights & International Relations: The 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights” dossier celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), reaching out to the community with an invitation to reflect upon the main transformations and new challenges surrounding the international reality of human rights.

In this context, the dossier “Human Rights & International Relations: The 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights” aims to (1) promote greater knowledge about the meaning and the impact of the UDHR in the lives of people everywhere, (2) engage stakeholders in a debate about the protection and promotion of human rights, and (3) reflect upon the current state of human rights, considering current challenges and opportunities.

Accordingly, Monções expects to receive contributions from researchers, activists and professionals working in the field. The dossier will gather unpublished material contributing in an original way to the field. Therefore, besides traditional IR approaches, the dossier welcomes interdisciplinary contributions about emergent issues that foster a dialogue with other branches of knowledge.
